நாயும் நண்டும் (Dog & Crab) – Michael, Misha – Collis, Evin

Hermit crabs and street dogs have one thing in common: neither have permanent homes.  நாயும் நண்டும் —  “Dog & Crab” presents a glimpse into the hardscrabble lives of two animals on the streets of Chennai.

There are over 800 hermit crabs species in the world. Most live in the ocean but a few are land dwellers. Hermit crabs have fragile exoskeletons. They search and scavenge for mobile homes, squeezing their fleshy bodies into various spaces for protection. When a hermit crab dies, its body releases pheromone signals to other hermit crabs to indicate that a new space is now vacant for occupancy.
