In 1984, a kung fu film was shot in New York City, and then it was shelved unfinished after the bankruptcy of it’s production company. In the mid 2010s, it was rediscovered and painstakingly finished, edited, ADR’d, and scored. In 2021, Vinegar Syndrome released it.
It’s a brand new 80s kung-fu flick and, in many ways, it is the platonic ideal of 1980s kung-fu flicks, in that it was scored and styled by someone who had spent 40 years studying 80s kung fu movies.
It’s an incredible achievement.
